Our company, in partnership with KOZINA PROJEKTI D.O.O. SPLIT (Croatia), has prepared the conceptual and main design for the Fishing Port at Cape Đeran in Ulcinj.
The Investor of the project is the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
Year 2025.
The planned fishing port will be a multi-purpose facility, primarily developed to accommodate fishing vessels. It will also include land-based infrastructure for the storage, handling, and packaging of fish and other marine organisms, with no processing plant foreseen.
The future port area consists of both land and marine components. This part of the project focuses on maritime and civil engineering structures, including the construction of breakwaters, new quay walls, and floating pontoons within the protected water area.
The proposed capacity and development plan for the fishing port are the result of extensive consultations at both national and local levels, involving local communities and stakeholders.
In addition to its primary role as a fishing port, the design takes into account the requests of the Municipality of Ulcinj, local residents, and fishermen to allow for recreational vessel berthing, thus supporting the development of tourism.
This mixed-use approach is fully aligned with the existing spatial plans for the Cape Đeran and Port Milena area, which recognize the need to accommodate both fishing and recreational vessels.
By permitting a limited portion of the port’s capacity to be used for recreational and seasonal berthing, the project increases the potential port revenue, which is crucial for ensuring its operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.
