The main design aimed at the remediation of the red mud pool in Podgorica Aluminum Plant

The remediation of the red mud pool in Podgorica Aluminium Plant is being carried out as part of the project of the Government of Montenegro for Industrial Waste Management and Cleaning (IWMCP) at five selected ecologically problematic locations in Montenegro.

The main activity of our company in this business is defined in 5 tasks as follows:

• Task 1: Collection and review of available existing documentation/information, preparation of the content of project activities and preparation of the initial report;
• Task 2: Detailed topographical and geodetic survey of the location with preparation of a geodetic study;
• Task 3: Development of detailed geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical research projects, realisation of investigative works with water and soil sampling, as well as preparation of Elaborate on detailed geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical research with chemical analyses of sampled water and soil;
• Task 4: Creation of a conceptual project for the reconstruction of the Red Mud Basin – KAP;
• Task 5: Development of the main reconstruction project of the Red Mud Basin – CAPT.

The main goal of this engagement is the elaboration at the level of the main project of measures for the reduction and elimination of environmental and human risk, the risk of pollutant migration and the reduction of possible future environmental problems.
